The ComboRush guide
How to play ComboRush
Place blocks, clear lines and make room for what comes next. There is no falling-block timer: take a moment to plan.
Start with the board
The board is 8×8. You get three pieces at a time. Drag a piece with your finger or mouse onto empty cells. You cannot rotate pieces or place them over existing blocks. Once all three pieces are used, a new offer arrives.
Clear rows and columns
A full row or column clears immediately. You can clear more than one line with a single piece. Clear the whole board for an extra 100-point bonus.
Build a combo up to ×5
Your first clearing move starts a chain at ×1. The next clears raise it to ×2, ×3, ×4 and ×5. Each clear restores three moves to continue the chain. If you make three moves without clearing, it resets. Invalid placements and a pause do not spend a move.
The multiplier applies to the line-clearing bonus, not every point or crown. The bonus is 10 × the number of lines squared × the multiplier.
Earn crowns, choose a style
In endless modes, each cleared line earns one crown. A combo clear adds one more, and an empty board adds three. In Daily Ten, completing a level earns five crowns once per level per day. Use the crown shop to unlock cosmetic themes and block styles. They do not change the rules or difficulty.
Pause and pick up later
Use the pause button or press P. Your game is saved locally in your browser. Sound starts off; the sound button or M toggles it. Clearing browser data also clears saved progress and styles.
Try a different kind of puzzle
Daily Ten uses preset boards and a finite set of blocks. Undo and a guide help you work through a puzzle without a timer.
