ComboRush Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 19, 2026

ComboRush is a block puzzle game you can play without an account. Core game progress stays on your device. Sharing a result with the leaderboard is optional.

What we collect

There are no accounts, ads, analytics, tracking or third-party services. The website retrieves game files and public score tables from the same ComboRush server. Core gameplay does not upload saved games, crowns or settings.

What stays on your device

Your scores, crowns, settings and saved games are stored locally on your device (browser or app storage). A finished game can also save its move record locally for optional submission. An anonymous random player ID, your chosen nickname and submission receipts are stored locally when you submit. Clearing app or browser data deletes these local records and does not automatically delete scores already published.

Optional leaderboards

Only when you click Submit score do we receive your anonymous player ID, nickname, mode, date, score, maximum combo, run identifier and a compact move record with its starting seed. The move record lets the server check the result. No email or account is required.

After a score is accepted, your nickname, verified score, combo and rank are public. Your anonymous player ID and move record are used only for verification and are not included in public score tables. The move record is discarded after verification; the server keeps only the verified result (nickname, score, maximum combo, number of moves, date and timestamps), your anonymous player ID, the run identifier and a one-way fingerprint of the submission that prevents duplicates. Data is stored on our hosting account, protected from public access, and backed up for up to 30 days. Do not put your real name, address or other personal information in a nickname.

Opening the leaderboard retrieves public entries without sending your player ID. Clicking Check my rank sends the public entry identifier from a previous submission so the server can find its current position. Scores remain in the public table until removed; contact support with the entry identifier if you want to request removal.

Clipboard

If you tap the share/copy button, your result text is copied to your clipboard. This happens only when you tap it.

Server logs

Our web host may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address and request time) for security and operation. We do not use them to identify or profile you. To limit abuse, the leaderboard counts requests using a one-way keyed hash of your IP address that is deleted within about an hour; the IP address itself is not stored in the leaderboard database.

Children

The game can be played without submitting anything. Leaderboard nicknames and scores are public, so players should not include personal information in a nickname. No advertising or tracking services are used.

Delete your data

To ask ComboRush to remove your leaderboard data, email support@comborush.app with the subject “Delete my ComboRush data” and include the entry identifier from your score receipt (or your exact nickname, score and the date). We will delete the matching public leaderboard entry together with the anonymous player ID and run records stored for it. Server logs kept by our host and short-lived rate-limit counters are not part of the leaderboard database and expire on their own. Data stored only on your device is deleted by clearing the app or browser data.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
